Why does most of us Filipino students in the Philippines nowadays, old or young, indulge in computer gaming?
Gamers or computer gamers love playing LAN and online games be it be single player or multiplayer because gaming gives them the thrill and excitement from the adventures or quests they do in the game and also from the cool spells, skills, graphics and moves they see in the gameplay. These games are also a matter of fact a form of bonding for peers because playing with your friends makes you enjoy the time you are with them and sometimes you discover something new from each other through some realistic situations that are simulated in some real time based games, because we humans are social beings. Moreover for me it is my form of scape when I have a problem or just to cheer myself up.
I myself is a certified game addict because my daily activities will never be complete if I won't play a game whether it is on my mobile phone, on our pc or on my laptop because as we say addiction is very hard habit to stop specially if you are used in doing it for years. When I start to play seriously there is no stopping it until I get hungry, pee, sleepy of feel a part of my body to ache because too much of anything s bad and as Newton's third law states “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”, you may oppose it in but reality everything that we do there will always be a counteracting situation, just as there is a positive there is also a negative, that I learned the hard way because by the time I realized that I messed up my life it was already too late and the only rational thing to do is to move on with my life. That's why now from time to time I try not to think of playing something so that nothing bad will come my way.
So I say gaming is a bad thing for who abuse it while it is a good thing if you can manage or control there self from temptation.
